Julia Espey

President – Operations, Estimation and Sales Director

As an experienced project engineer at NASA for over a decade, Courtland LLC women owner, Julia Espey, understands the engineering to building process. Construction projects are complex and when a customer needs a product, they need it on time and as promised. No surprises! Her focus is to seek out the best quality products, offer competitive and fair pricing, and deliver them on time.

Her mission at Courtland is to be the gold standard of service: efficient, easy to work with, competitively priced, and dependable. She, and her hand-selected team, work over-time to be the easiest supplier (DBE supplier even!) that you have ever worked with!

Julia’s passion to build and restore the infrastructure of America shows in every phone call, and order fulfillment. In addition to overseeing the day to day activities and estimating new projects, she’s ever-expanding Courtland’s product line offering so you have the options of best-out-there products to meet the ever-changing needs of the construction field. As a product supplier and former engineer, she absolutely loves working with estimators and project managers, being pro-active, responsive and innovative. Carol Johnson

Project Manager- Scheduling, Logistics & Estimation Team Member

Carol Johnson came to Courtland after 15 years of managing a leading local Civil Engineering and Landscape Architectural firm. At Courtland, she serves in the capacity of Project Manager to ensure your products leave our warehouse and arrive to you on time, and just as ordered.

Call into Courtland and you will usually find Carol knee-deep in project schedules, double-checking your purchase orders and making sure the products arrive to you on time. This involves lots of communication with construction project managers, and proactive scheduling, logistical planning of the deliveries, and obtaining all the manufacturer product certifications you need. Carol also assists Julia on Courtland’s estimation team, to send out timely competitive quotes so you are more likely to win projects when you purchase from Courtland.

Lori Johnson

Office Manager – Accounts Payables/Receivables

Lori Johnson is the very organized office manager who keeps Courtland humming along efficiently. She will handle your purchase orders, direct your calls, generate invoices and stay on top of billing issues. Lori brings over 22 years of accounting and office management experience to the job, including direct experience with construction contractors. (She’s even married to one!)

Laura Hunter

Assistant Project Manager & Trucking Coordinator

Laura has worked within the commercial and residential construction field for the past ten years. As a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Family Social Science, she learned how to efficiently communicate and work with others. It shows!

As an Assistant Project Manager, Laura communicates well and stays on time of issues such as processing your orders, monitoring project schedules, and communicating with project site managers for on-time deliveries. On busy estimating days, she is all hands-in and assists on our estimating team too. In addition, Laura also coordinates all the logistics of keeping our fleet of trucks busy working for you.

Laura’s superpower is staying “cool” under pressure (even with hair-pulling ever-changing delivery schedules!) She’s a total professional and that’s just one of the reasons she’s superb at customer support. We want you to LOVE working with Courtland, so you keep coming back for ALL your construction supply needs, and Laura does this with her superpowers of being cool, courtesy and 100% professional. (Rumor is …she even has a cape!)
